Gheluvelt Park Photo Album

Welcome to the Gheluvelt Park Photo Album.

Gheluvelt Park in Worcester has received £850,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to improve the park in the following ways by March 2010:- these include - creating a new play area to include equipment to suit toddlers through to early teens; replacing the current swimming pool with interactive water play features; creating a war memorial to commemorate the Battle of Gheluvelt; reinstating the railings at the front of the Park along Barbourne Rd and renovating the current bandstand.

Photographs on this website have been taken by members of the public who have attended photographic workshops led by Emily Haf, a freelance photographer and Michelle Newell the Park Warden.  The intention of this site is to display photographs recording what the park currently looks like and throughout its transformation.

Each workshop is themed - the first being black and white - others to follow include macro, shape line and form and night time photography. The next workshop is on April 24th - all workshops are free, but booking is essential. Please click on the 'Workshops' page for more information.

We hope you enjoy these photo's and agree with us that they are pretty inspirational!
